So I registered a domain name and set up a blog. I got free hosting so all the money from the google ads are pure profit (that is of course until I pay off the domain registration fee). So take a gander:

I'm not sure how often I'll actually post on it. I'm assuming it will be pretty high right now since I just got it.

I'm totally aggregating you. I'm still using Livejournal, mostly for historic reasons. I should probably set up a real blog on my domain that automatically posts to the LJ, but ... effort.

I recently started a blog, but I think I'm already bored with it so I started a comic book blog. Not sure how long it will last.
I hooked up Google Analytics and Webmaster so I can see they have no traffic. Go figure. I haven't gotten around to adsense since I don't really want to wait 15 years to get a $50 check.

Would you like a nice fluffy login to ibforsse with selectable themes and streaming weather?...howabout no friggin way? I reject your Web 2.0 and substitute my janky custom scripting!
(to my surprise I made a cool $4.51 in the last two years of using AdSense, by my calculations I'll be able to buy a new PS3 game in around 27 years, maybe they'll have one out by then) |

OMG look at that traffic spike.
Thanks all.
Of course that traffic is blog starts to six users in less then a week. Of those six only four from Loungenet. The other two are probably search engines. Tomorrows traffic is expected to be a drop one visitor. |

The pics allow comments, but not the posts. It's a subtle degree of separation, but that way news post don't become forum threads which belong on LoungeNet anyways.
Also, don't forget to add this banner to your blogs, it's obviously way more important than anything else.

I also got a loungenet traffic spike. I put my blog on google's index list:
https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/siteoverview?hl=en
and yahoo's as well:
http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/
They say it takes them about 24 hours to index your website. We'll see if it makes much of a difference in my traffic. |
