So here's a new thread for general deals, also i used a z to be more extreme.

World of Goo is apparently for sale at a price you get to name, $0?. It's a sweet game. The link seems down to me, but maybe it's just being hit hard.

So, I've been wanting to play more Virtua Fighter 5 Online on my XBox 360, and would love to have some people to play with.

In unrelated news, VF5 Online is only $12.14 on Amazon. It's ripe for the picking here.

Steam Weekend Deal is Mass Effect for $10. That is pretty awesome right there.

Oh hey, I've been waiting for that one to show up. Excellent. Another game I can buy on the cheap, and never get around to playing...

Dunno if people are already checking, but it looks like steam is having daily deals now. Audiosurf, braid, and defense grid are all 2.50.

Bioshock 2 has that same buy four at a reduced price offer going on.

33.75 per game and you get the original free. I could be convinced to throw down, but I've got both Mass Effects to play right now, so I may not. But others might be interested. It's on steam.

Here's a moderate deal - $5 off Supreme Commander 2 pre-order on Steam. Apparently March is a month to release games that I'm looking forward to that I didn't know were being released.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Supreme Commander 2
Final Fantasy XIII

Now I just have to find time to play them.

Mass Effect 2 is $20 off today. I recommend it - I even paid full price for it (a single player game!) because I'm a sucker.

there's a bundle of indie games (i've only ever heard of world of goo) for name your price minimum one penny up for the next 3 days or so. World of Goo at least is worth a penny, maybe even like 500 pennies.

Supreme Commander 2 is 50% off on Steam this weekend (which apparently is only $10.99....I guess it didn't do as well as hoped).

http://store.steampowered.com/app/40100/

It is basically a streamlined version of the first Supreme Commander. It's not quite as epic in scale, but it is full of giant robot battle goodness.

It plays out a lot faster than SupCom1. Really, it's a different game with the same underlying ideas. It's much less complicated, but can still be fun. Definitely feels less epic, but punishes you less for mistakes.

Lots of things got streamlined: there's a tech tree that drives everything.

Not as many water maps, which is sad. Epic boat battles in SupCom1 made us reinstall SupCom1's expansion and go back to them a while back.

Anyway, I like SupCom2. It definitely fills out the robot battle arena well.
