Alien swarm is a free, 4-player co-op (3rd-person isometric?) shooter in which space marines battle aliens. It looks cool, and reminded me of a mod for half-life I played back in the day called Natural Selection.
It turns out that just a couple days ago they announced http://www.naturalselection2.com/ the alpha for the sequel.
In short, I see a lot of space marine vs alien action in my future. Who else is interested in either of these things? _________________ "Please note, we have added a consequence for failure. I like free things. I'll load up this free game.
Actually went to the steam page. Looks pretty fun. Kind of like the top down levels in Contra 2? 3? I forget the number. I'd be around tonight to play that. |

I think SuperC was the game you were trying to think of.
edit: Nope, Contra 3! |

We actually played the UT2003 mod version of Alien Swarm at one of our LAN parties years ago. Opinions were favorable and we played it quite a bit longer than most mods. I've seen blurbs about the new Alien Swarm and been looking forward to it.
I played a bit of Natural Selection back in the day, but was never that good at it. If NS2 ever comes out (big if...it's been in development for a long time now), I'll probably play it if it the reviews aren't horrible. _________________ "Countrymen, I say to ya, beware Canadia." The hat is pretty cool too.
I did much better after I unlocked the gun that doesn't do any friendly fire. Aargh. _________________ Why am I talking when there is Science to do on the people who are still alive? |

Just tried it last night. It was a lot of fun! Good graphics, good team work from a random set of folks. Nobody drawing cocks on the mini map.

| I am also so far disappointed in the internets for the lack of cock drawing. |

That was actually demi-epic. Someone should post it on 4chan so that it may become a meme.
Granted, it would inevitably be accompanied by that pedobear thing. |
