Somebody posted this on the White Wolf forums as something that looks like Exalted might be. It does, in fact, look pretty freakin' rad.

sweeeet.
I really like the platformer and puzzle aspects - that's one thing I wish they had more of in WoW. Of course, we'll see how long those last if it makes life too hard for power gamers. _________________ "Yes kids, we lied to you about Santa, but trust us, Jesus is real"

That trailer did look kind of cool. Not exactly sure what the gameplay will be, but hopefully it's fun.
The developer Net Devil did Auto Assault, which was a post-apocalyptic car battle MMO. It had some serious flaws, but the fast-paced car combat actually worked fairly well. Hopefully they can pull some of that into this game.
Also, for MMOs that include platforms and puzzles, there's D&D Online. It is now free to play with some for-pay upgrades. I haven't played it since the original beta, but you can check it out here: http://www.ddo.com/. _________________ "Countrymen, I say to ya, beware Canadia." MC Frontalot, "Canadia", Final Boss |

Did anyone see any pirates in the trailer? I would definitely go for a pirate or a knight over the town or space legos.
I played DDO a while back as well. I thought it was pretty fun, but didn't have a whole lot of content at the time. There wasn't a whole lot of solo content so I wound up playing with PUGs, which I believe was what led me away from the game at the end of the day. I could possibly be convinced to give it a go again, but it would be competing with WoW as a lower priority. |

| That's kind of the problem with a MMO generally. It has to compete with WoW, between WoW and whatever single player game I'm working on (Dragon Age, round 2) I'm outta time to game. Still, a lego pirate. Yar! |

Unless there's widespread adoption, I'm unlikely to pick up another MMO than WoW. Too much embedded base and the social aspects are all there with their existing relationships.
I'm with Dan - 1 MMO and then various single player/multiplayer games (one at a time) fill up my gaming time.
Plus I don't have 80s of every class yet. _________________ Why am I talking when there is Science to do on the people who are still alive? |
